2230 FM exhibits annoying raspiness

Hi, all. I found a 2230 in a nearby town for an incredible price, and it's almost perfect except for two dial lights. I'm truly astonished by the fullness of the sound into KLH Sixes, which I thought only possible with tubes. I even began thinking about selling my beloved little Magnavox fleapower tube amp. But after trying the FM tuner--I often listen to a jazz channel--I noticed the Marantz has this noticeable upper-register raspiness that comes and goes but mostly comes--with certain notes and announcers' voices.

I experienced that once before with a Marantz 2226b, never figured out the problem, and finally sold it. Not a problem with PHONO or AUX. Is this just a quirk of Marantzes? I am going to post a video that I hope will demonstrate the problem.

I initially had a signal booster I subsequently removed. But I hear it with or without the signal amplification. I've tried dialing back on the signal strength--which is four or five bars on the VU meter, switching the attenuator circuit in and out with that switch above the aerial inputs, nothing helps. It comes out of both channels. Any thoughts? I am not very technical, although I've replaced a few lamps on one of these things. Thanks!
