2230 g/e wood case identification

Hi all. Just picked up this low serial #, champagne/engraved face 2230.

It came with a wood case that I am not familiar with. It looks similar to Fisher, but I'm not sure.

Curious of anyone out there can identify it and/or if anyone has heard of these lower serial number models as having more prototype wood cases, before they arrived at the WC-22 we all know and love.

I'm guessing someone just popped this into a different brand case. It'd be great to find out what it is. I may keep it or try to trade for the right one. On the fence still!

I picked up a Marantz with a case just like yours except someone modded a boxer fan on top.

When I took that off, the exposed grille is the same as yours.

I'll look again at mine for any kind of ID markings.
