2230 - P750 Board - C760 Replacement

Hi all,

I generally can find what I am looking for in this vast library of knowledge, but I am stumped at finding a replacement for C760 on my 2230 - P750 board. I was going through the board checking all of the components as it was popping fuses. Found a couple diodes bad, the output transistors, and C751. Decided to check the large film cap so I pulled it and ran it through my ESR tester. It came back "Bad" High ESR. It was reading 15.9 ohms.

Should I change this out? And if so, what would be a comparable component? I am not familiar spec'ing out new components that match vintage gear very well. Wanted to reach out to those with much more experience than me.

Thanks!

I would think almost any 0.1uF film cap would do of at least 100V rating. Check the lead spacing on the pcb holes and go from there. I am fairly sure it's drawn wrong in the schematic but looks to be the Zobel anti-oscillation network for the output. That or I traced the connection wrong - par for the course on a Marantz schematic!

Hi, That cap is fine.
Caps under 5uf will measure like that.
I have measured that same value film from Marantz and it is usually 15-16 ohms.
