2230 pops when the TT turns on and off

I am running a 6100 TT through my 2230. The receiver pops every time I start and stop the TT. Although I haven't used the 2230 in awhile, I don't recall this happening before. I did just replace my last TT with the 6100. I am wondering if it is the TT or the receiver? Anyone familiar with this happening?

A bad snubber capacitor in the turntable can cause a pop (I have seen them bad in the 6100). It is more likely cause the pop at turn off than turn on.
 
I have been doing some more research this morning and have found that the popping is likely being caused by the C1 capacitor
( 0.047 225 v ) in the TT that directs incoming power. Recommendations are that it be replaced with a much higher v rating. Unfortunately I don't really know much about electronics and circuits. However i want to fix this and am willing to youtube on how to solder.

My question is, for folks who know about these things, would this capacitor be an adequate replacement?

The capacitor should be an X2 (275 volt AC rated) snubber capacitor.
 
 
 
That should work fine (0.047uf 275v X2). I have also used 0.1uf 275v X2 capacitors in a 6100 without issue.
