2238B Tone Board PE01 Removal Question

I have the receiver apart for a restoral, with the main amp/power board (P700) and filter caps removed. If I install the P700 board back into position, will I be able to remove the tone board (PE01) from the back of the front chassis without P700 getting in the way?

Thanks

Every Marantz I've ever restored, I was able to get the tone board out with the amp boards installed. Looking at 2238B pictures, I'd say that's the case here too.

Just to follow up and post on this in case someone searches. It can be done but is a bit of work. I had to remove some tie wraps, the switch extenders and some chassis screws to provide the space to get the board out. You need to be aware of the tuner string as well.

I'll be going there myself this weekend. It looks to be a PITA:thumbsdown:.

Some fool who worked on this one before sprayed aerosol grease in all of the switches and pots. Multiple flushings with isopropyl and DeoxIT treatments later, I'm still not sure if I got it all out. I need to reassemble to test then blow it all apart again to clean all of the residue off the entire front end of the receiver. I guess I'll recap the board while I have it out.
