2265B question

I use my 2265B as a preamp and sometime I use it with its own power . I always unplug the preamp section when I listen to it normally , my question is do I need to unplug the cables and will it hurt anything if I leave them pluged in when I am not using a external amp .

I don't think so if it doesn't ordinarily need jumpered to work. I don't have the manual on the computer I'm typing this on. But if the cable end is on the preamp side it will switch off the power up which means no sound. If it's left in the amp end and the center contact of the free end is touched there will be some hum, perhaps loudly, coming out the speakers.

So I would recommend to not do this.
