2270 kit on ebay - opinions?

Probably a lot cheaper to buy the same things on something like Mouser. But if you are not willing to do that, then go ahead. :) It has never cost me close to that much to recap a receiver. And I've done some big ones.
 
Those are all quality parts, looks like Panasonic FC. The same lot of parts would probably be around 60 bucks at Mouser or Digikey. It's up to you to decide if the extra 50 bucks for the Ebay kit is worth the time you'll save picking everything out yourself. Also, there's variations in receivers. Make sure you're replacing each cap with the proper value, even with the pre-assembled kit.

the only thing i see is missing is an INSTRUCTION MANUAL for the rebuild. I am not an EE and barely get around on schematics, but love to solder and replace stuff. I need a procedure manual that has hints for what sequence to tackle the job, and some dos and don'ts.
