2270 relay issues

Received this receiver as not working, explanation was it emitted smoke and power switch would not turn the unit off afterwards. That's about all I know.

Upon inspecting, I noticed the relay does not have its cover, and the board looks like it had an amateur do some soldering on the relay. I'd like to replace the relay before doing any testing, but was concerned if there are different relays for units that are based on the serial number, and if someone can provide a picture of the wires and where they go. I'm concerned whoever did this might have it hooked up wrong.

Towards the bottom of the 3rd picture, there is also what looks like a grounding terminal on one of the amp heat sinks that has a glob of solder on it, but nothing connected. Hoping someone can help with whether it's missing something there.

Thanks!

Steve G.

Omron MY2 DC24 is a drop in replacement for the relay. I always replace them. You don’t have to mess with the wiring in the relay. All of the soldering is on the lugs on bottom of board. Remove the four wires, remove relay, drop in new one and resolder wires and lugs that we’re soldered before.

I'm wondering if the wiring is correct, hoping to find a picture to compare.

EDIT
I found another picture from another thread, looks like wiring is correct.

Of course, those are available lots of places. I get them from AK member @runningdog at irebuildmarantz.com.

I took a chance that my friend who is a big Marantz collector might have a spare switch and he did. I drove 15 miles last night to grab it, and stayed up until 3am swapping it out. Powered it up for the first time and it quickly came out of protection, but no sound at all. Checked the back and found no jumpers installed, :p robbed some from my 4270 and now the 2270 is sounding great.:)

Just need to replace the lamps and check voltages, glad this was an easy fix.

Thanks for the help!

Lamps all replaced and checkup finished, looks like the tuner dial is off a few clicks (98.7 shows 98.2). This 2270 should be a keeper, very nice condition and includes box and manuals. I like this model and the 2325 the best, now what speakers should I pair it with?
