2275 replacement part

How accurate is the cross reference chart? My 2275 needs the phones jack replaced. Old one cracked off behind the faceplate about 30 years ago. It looks like I can get the part from Canada but its listed as one from a 2220b. According to the cross reference chart it is the same YJ0100098 part number. I'd like to know if this is the exact replacement as per the chart. Anybody know for sure? Thanks

They are pretty much spot on- if the 2275 and 2220b share a headphone jack then that's a match. Usually the mistakes that were made in the service manuals were orientation of components. Did you verify in both service manuals the part is the same?
 
Thanks, thats my thought also. Looks like about 3 or 4 models share the same jack. I'll just order it before it disappears!
 
More than likely, for stuff like that marantz probably bought in bulk and it was shared across different units. Welcome to AK! Good luck with the repair.
 
Thanks, it's been fully restored except for this one part! It's been my buddy for 45 years. As a teenager I took it apart and tried to fix it with superglue. Bad idea. Now for the real fix. Also doing the vellum for the meters. Already did the Tuner display. Looks brand new! (all original lighting of course)
 
Lamp housing is plastic on that unit IIRC- a good investment for both the dial and meters is to put LED lamps in it vs incandescents. I did my 4400 with them and they run WAY cooler.
 
I made the cross reference, and pulled the numbers directly from the service manuals. The part should be correct. But the wiring pattern, or addition of other components, like resistors, might be different between models.
 
Too late, restore shop already did them. I prefer the original look. Led would be better for keeping it long term, never need to replace them.

Thanks Steven! I ordered it, can't believe one was currently available. Too bad for the 2220b, good for my 2275.

It's a phono jack for God's sake. How many ways can you make one? Ooops, sorry, just MY two cents.

more like how many ways can a teenager screw one up so bad and damage the vellum and botch up the string on the tuner.
somebody slap me. 1978 memories need to be deleted from my brain.
 
So long as they put the correct ones in it and not the ones that melt the lamp housing, hopefully the shop knows what's what
