2285B VS 2325??

I use a 2285B for my daily driver and I love it.
Just stumbled upon a 2325 and was wondering what the benefits would be. Before a plunk down a huge chunk of cash I thought I'd ask the pros.

Any opinions about the pros and cons of the 2285b vs the 2325? I'm thinking about reliability (I'm a horrible tech so) and sound quality. I don't play music that loud anymore so it's not about sheer volume.

The 2325 will be easier to service as a lot of the boards are modular and can be removed to work on.
I have had the 2285 non B version and still have a 2325. My guess is your 2285B will have a bit of more modern sound for lack of a better description but a 2325 is an awesome powerhouse of a receiver. A velvet hammer is a term heard a lot here on AK and its very true.
My question would be has the 2325 you are looking at been serviced or updated? Might give you some leverage on price but they don't cheap as you know.
Think if you have both receivers you have most of the vintage Marantz sound covered. Hope it works out that you get the 2325 and if you do post pictures.

"B" versions can be all over the map with Marantz. It can mean a cosmetic change only, a better upgraded version, cheaper design and construction, to even in a few cases, a complete redesign including cosmetics. Its always a good idea to research both B and non B models before buying.
An extreme example is the much loved 1060 integrated amp and the cheaply constructed and not so good sounding 1060B.

Luckily I live the 2285B now, and after reading all I can about it, it's supposed to sound better than the 2285. I'm personally floored by how good it sounds,

Currently walking in circles thinking about the $$. Going to research the 2325 more, and see if the money is worth the additional 50WPC of power.
And I'd need to get rid of two additional 2220's that i have o free up some cash. So this will be a slow process!

You won’t notice the power difference if you don’t play it loud. I had the Pioneer SX 1010
and SX 737. I kept the 737 . Good enough and they sounded similar.

Since I don’t know what they’re asking.. and you have to free up 2 more Marantz units to raise money, it appears this 2325 is expensive. Try not to get caught up in it. It’s hard not to, I know. I did . Once. Actually a few times.
No more.

Oh , and did I mention I have a restored 2285 ? It’s no slouch.
