22xx receivers and 4 ohm speakers

I have a recapped 2270 and 2250B that I would like to pair with my Ohm Model H speakers. The Mod H are 4 ohm. I’m listening to Lyle Lovett’s new LP through the 2270/Mod H combo and it sounds great. But I’ve read conflicting opinions on pairing a 22xx receiver with 4 ohm speakers. I’ve read:

1. Never pair 4 ohm speakers with an 8 ohm receiver. 2. Never pair 4 ohm speakers with the 2270 particularly because of a clipping issue at 55w. 3. You can pair 4 ohm speakers with the 2270 as long as it’s only one pair. 4. 4ohms, no problem.

I would like to use the Mod H with either the 2270 or 2250B. I will only connect one pair of speakers to the receiver. Can it be done safely?

That's one of the posts I read earlier. It states the 2270 will clip at 55w with 4ohm speakers. Others posts state different things, hence my confusion and question.

ive read a couple of times outside of AK that its only the earlier 2270's that had an issue maybe someone who knows for sure will chime in. i crank my 2270 up pretty good with my Ohm walsh 4's but they are only rated 6ohm

Mine was built 5/25/75 making it late in the production run. Hopefully this is a non-issue for me.
