2325 Flyback Diode Orientation Question

KutzlerTrans

Hi, I just went through a couple of amps for my 2325 and one has flyback diodes, the other does not. I intend to use 1n4007 diodes for this, but I do not trust the prior installation location.
Here is the way these are installed: J702 (Black stripe) to r750/h719 and J708 to r749/r741(Black stripe side)
Is this Correct?? Thanks, John

Assume you are speaking about diodes to protect the output transistors from flyback?

If so they are orented so that are not conducting during normal operation. Meaning the anode is connected to the more negative voltage. Look at the schematic of the 500 to give you an idea of installation.

If that is not what you are asking about... Never mind...:D

Flybacks were added by some techs in the field or on some amps added by design.

I have a question on the Dim Bulb Tester, I have been using my lamp wired with aligator clips up until a month ago. Since then, I have built and been using a Fused Pigtail harness with 1 amp fuses in the rail and negative leg. The harness is made from a pin out cobbed from a junk amp and a ford transmission plug , That with a bit of cutting and splicing with the fuse holders So, Does a Dim bulb tester have a better advantage over a 1amp fused harness??
I have burned a few fuses out, getting it sensitized, But it did Not catch a screw-up where i ,knowing better, still manged to install a double transistor heatsink in ass backwards, Smoking a few resistors. It was kinda exciting moment followed by the depression one feels seeing his work literally going up in smoke.
