2505 power supply caps

The smaller power supply caps came in for the 2505. I ordered axial leads to replace the smaller can sections with the intension of mounting them under the chassis. Now thinking it would be best to 'stuff' the old cans. The physical size of the new caps look too big to fit ALL of them in the cans. Any suggestions or links from others who have done this before?

What's a good source for the MAIN Power Supply filter caps?

I have a 2505 and wish to recap as well. Whats the best source for these parts?
Powered up for first time in several years and after about 15 miutes it develops slight distortion in right side. Seems heat related as it's repeatable. Considering age I expect it's wise to replace all caps but is there a consensus on most critical or benificial parts? Doesn't seem to have any supply hum...

Thanks much

I just recapped my 2505 all 4 cans. The one with 4 sections I stuck one inside the can & the other 3 I hot glued to the cassia right there. It doesn't look great but works great.

What process did you use to open and gut the cans? Has anyone added point-to-point terminal strips? I've hate to drill holes in the main chassis. Any photos or links of the can rework and caps underneath?

Like Falcon said.. Mouser Electronics would have most or all of the caps. The Nichicons can be ordered from Hand Made Electronics. The first caps I replaced were on the input PCB (see recent post.) Next will be the meter and driver boards, then the power supply cans. My amp can make 50 watts at 1kHz each side but the meters aren't tracking well at all. It sounded like cardboard the last time it was hooked up. With Muse ES NP caps on the input, the sound should improve. It's a nice little classic amp to have on the shelf!!
