2SC1649 Transistor equivalent

Good morning all, hope you are all well.
I have been looking at an equivalent transistor for a 2SC1649 and am finding some conflicting types. I researched and found a 2SC2632 and have also been informed that a KSC1845 will do the job. After researching the KSC1845 I found the hfe and the (pc) was out, the hfe quite a bit. The transistor is from a Pioneer SX 750 protection circuit at position Q1 on the protection circuit so not exactly a high draw.. The fault is one channel is activating the protection relay when any base or volume over 1/4 is applied, I have found this transistor faulty. The other channel is fine. Any thoughts on the transistors would be appreciated and I am sorry if this has been discussed previously.

They both look like a good choice. Venerable C1845 with little higher gain in protection should be ok.
