2SC695 Transistor Replacement on Sanyo DCA-1400

Got this little amplifier for next to nothing. In cosmetically great shape but produced no sound.

I plugged an mp3 player into the main outs and got good sound from there so I am assuming the issues lies likely in the preamp board. The only transistors on the board are 2SC695 according to the SM. Could not find a mention of a replacement here on AK or elsewhere on the web. Before I start looking at components I wanted to get an idea of replacements.

Any suggestions? The replacement for the close 2SC693 was the KSC1845. Would this or the KSC1815 be a decent replacement?

Not sure of the pinout of the 2SC695 yet.

Update:

Looking at the SM more closely, the parts list has them listed as 2SC695:



But the schematic has them listed as 2SC693:



I haven't pulled one yet but I don't think there are any markngs on the transistors themselves to give any clue as to which they are. Plus there are no markings on the board for pinout so I will have to be careful to note orientation.

C1815 would be the best match but both would be fine. If the device is in a low level amp position such as tone control you could use the higher gain C1845 to boost the signal a tad.
