Honest to God:

“WHEN PLUGGED IN THE UNIT LIGHTS, POWERS ON AND LAST WORKED WITH SPEAKERS 10 YEARS AGO. NOT RECENTLY TESTED. OPERATION NOT FULLY VERIFIED AND DO NOT HAVE THE TIME OR TEST SET UP.”

"LIGHTS UP WHEN PLUGGED IN AND POWERED.

ANTENNA NEEDS MOUNTING BRACKET REPAIR . FOUR KNOB CENTER COVERS ARE MISSING.

THE UNIT IS A FAMILY HEIRLOOM HAS BEEN SITTING IN STORAGE FOR APPROX. 15 YEARS.

USED AS IS. HAS NOT BEEN TESTED SINCE LAST OPERATED SO NO GUARANTEES!"

Good think he put that in capitals...

If you can tune into the past get 93 KHJ Boss radio with Johnny Williams I'd at least have to think about it for a few seconds.

I got mine in the free pile at the Humane Society thrift store. It was just an old piece of obsolete gear to them. Of course, that was in 1990. I miss the pre-ebay days.

I have asked the seller if there is something stunningly unusual about this particular unit that has led to him asking $38,700 more than they usually sell for.

I'll keep you posted.:smoke:

You guys missed the reason for the price. It has the rare plastic jewels that so many units are missing. But, of course, it is missing the much valued yellow Fisher QC tag that offsets them.
