HI everyone, i have a question about amplifier , speaker and OHMS.
i have read but im not sure. I have 4 Cerwin Vega , 4 ohm each. i want to plug all of these on my amplifier Yamaha M-80. in the back, there is speaker A or B or C on it. if i put A + B for the 4 cerwin it will be 8 ohm. or the second option is B + C and it will be 2 ohm. which option is the best if each speaker have 4 ohm ?? thank you and sorry for my english im french.

Using 2 pair (4 total) of 4 ohm speakers will yield a 2 ohm load that is unsuitable for your amplifier.

Your best solution would be to wire the speakers in series.

From amplifier speaker A left positive (red) terminal to the positive (red) terminal of speaker 1.

From the negative (black) terminal of speaker one to the positive terminal of speaker 2.

From the negative terminal of speaker two back to the amplifier speaker A left negative terminal.

Repeat the procedure with speaker A, right on your amp and speakers 3 & 4.

This will provide an 8 ohm load which is safe for your amplifier but you will have all 4 speakers running all the time.

Another solution would be to add a speaker selector control with a built in impedance circuit.
