4230 DOA Amateur Needs Help

Just couldn't stop, noticed the remote/local switch was in remote, switched it, got a little pop. Turned it off, de-oxit the switch and bingo, bango, sound in the left channel!
 
no, still no right channel, but it was shorted and dead when I got it. There is a guy in Tucson with an amp for sale on ebay, offered him $40, figured it's worth it if it fixes it.
 
Looks like there is also one of those small Dolby knobs for the 4230 on there. If you don't have that missing one, better think about picking it up.
 
Steven, had the knob, was just using a flathead screwdriver to work the control after cleaning. Got the amp board today (was here in Tucson), installed it and have a 100% 4230. Was DOA when I got and with all your help it is now functional for $47.00. Thanks Rich :beerchug:

Wow. That is really cool. My help mainly involved eating popcorn and watching, but each of these is a learning experience for me. Congrats. That is a very nice receiver. :thumbsup:
