$50 and 16 years later.

Back about 2003 I bought a cheap sub and amp for my Jeep. I payed $50 at Walmart.
After all these years rattling around in the back of my Jeep bouncing down trails the driver finely failed. Its popping pretty bad. But, not bad for $50. The amp still works fine.
A replacement sub woofer will cost me more that the whole setup did.

look on the bright side, if you lived here your Jeep would be gone by now. (rusted out) :)
4 years ago the original top started leaking. The Jeep had been parked for awhile and when I went to get in it it was full of water. Full up to the top of the floor boards. It made for a nice mushroom farm though. I replaced the top and put a rubber floor covering in it. Carpet in a Jeep is just dumb.
Your right, no rust living out here.

16 years? That's about $3/year. I'd say you got your money's worth.

Maybe there's suitable replacement woofage at that auction place (I'm thinking a lightly used or a refurbished name brand).

I just bought a $26 10" BOSS 4 ohm replacement from Partsexpress. :D
I defenetly got my money's worth out of the old one. I just replaced the dash unit last year. I bought it in 2003 when I bought the Jeep.
