5000X with F-1040-1 board

TheAnalogman

Tell me about it.
I was under the assumption that the 5000 series had it's corrections done with the 5000X. Low and behold when I was adjusting my "new" 5000X 'Sui, under the hood the F-1040-1 stared me right in the face. Wassup with this? does the "-1" mean a fixed F-1040? I passed up a few 5000a becuase of what I've read here on AK.

F-1040-1 is an improved version of F-1040. It should be F-6013 for best stabilization

The early production 5000X had the F1040. The change was made sometime during the 5000X production run. There are several threads on modifing the F1040 board to make it more stable. Try doing a search.

Thanks, Pete. I did do a search, I was wondering if the magic "-1" had solved the issue. I didn't see that anywhere. Still sounds good.....today!
