59 Magnavox Imperial 182BA Recap Advice

Hey I just got this 59 Imperial for my 60th birthday. I have a fiend 150 miles away who is going to help me recap it. I’d like to gather all of the parts before I make the trip. I’m wondering if anyone has schematics and also recommendations on caps, resistors and anything else I should bring down. Also for the 54 03 10 tuner chassis. I’ll probably post that separately once I pull it. Thanks in advance. Pics to follow. The amp closeups go right to left and top to bottom.

I’m wondering if anyone has schematics and also recommendations on caps, resistors and anything else I should bring down.

I usually recap the PS electrolytics by disconnecting the cans, leaving them in place for looks, and replacing the different sections with individual caps underneath. This method allows you to use higher quality caps than those typically found in replacement cans and it is much, much cheaper.

Modern caps come in values that are a bit higher, which is no problem - use 47uf instead of 40uf, 33uf, 22uf. Voltages should be the same as stock or higher, never lower. I'd suggest using caps rated at 105 degrees for 10,000 hours.

Unless your friend has a cap checker to test all of the white caps to see if they are in spec and not electrically leaky, you might want to replace them.
