6 Ohm Speakers... 4 and 8 Ohm taps

Hi guys, finnaly my new tube amp arrived, a little 16/35W EL34 type. Got two pair of speaker taps in the back, one for 4 ohm and another for 8 ohm with a common ground. When I check the specs of the speakers got surprised that it says literally:

Nominal Impedance: 6 Ohm
Minimum Impedance: 4 Ohm

What should I do, which one should give me the best sound, the 4 ohm tap or the 8 ohm tap?

Try 'em both to hear which sounds best to your ears.

I just noticed that the pair of 12AU7 glows way more brighter than the pair of 12AX7, actually the 12AX7 looks almost off. It's normal??? What job are those tubes doing there beside the EL34's???

I am Listening to Mozart's Clarinet concerto.... with the 4 ohm taps it seems to have more bass, but with the 8 ohm taps the sound it's louder and more clear. Thank God for the banana plugs on the cables, it saves me a lot of work :thmbsp:

actually the 12AX7 looks almost off. It's normal???

Not to worry. My VOM 12AX7 don't glow at all in my Maggie amps. 12AT7 glow beautifully in the same position.
