My brother bought a 66 GTO back in '72 and still has it. It is absolutely beautiful, like new inside and out. It no longer has the original 389, as it wore out years ago. It currently has a 455 with the original 3 deuce setup and it runs pretty strong for a heavy street car, 11.39 @ 128- 1/4 mi. with slicks, NOS system, headers open.

I have always had an affection for GTO's but have never owned one.

It wasn't running but someone had put the distributor 180 off so it was an easy fix.

A friend bought an all original '69 Z28 this way, for $800.
Years later he sold it for $17,000.
It had a few rare options, would guess the value today would be well over $50k

That is better than one of those custom shows where they bought a $10K Pontiac engine and could not get it to run.

The firing order is the same as a chevy but the rotor turns counter clockwise. (anti clockwise for our friends across the pond).
