TLDR: Think I've narrowed down the parts to replace to Q101-104 in the preamp board, and want to double check if BC149C and BC147B can be replaced with KSC945YTA?
In my lengthy journey of restoring an 800T, it recently developed a hiss in both channels, significantly louder in the right. It changes with volume and tone controls, present on all inputs. I used a can of duster air to cool down transistors in the signal path, which led to Q102/104.
I've done lots of other incremental work, starting with the psu, a complete recap (board by board), and replacement outputs, and it was working fine(sans FM) for months.
Thanks for all your wonderful info and collective knowledge. I hope to post a log of the restoration process for the 800T, and a KX-200 when I can.
