Thought it would be cool to build a 1980s era tri amp system since in auctions pre COVID i had piles of it laying around my shop and garage not really knowing what to do with it... From Studio grade Analizer EQ systems with room measuring circuits ( thats not a new 2,000s concept btw ) to line stage higher end, Threshold, Krell,, modded B&K , all balanced circuits all American built gear from citys across our great Nation..I had to do something so every device got benched, serviced, tested for noise and either sold or put in a rack for the fun of it and some great memories except back then i was just a young man in the military with a family and couldnt afford most of it , drooled alot back then ya know...
Built this rolling rack back in 2017 one of two.
Head units,(2)
Adcom GFP 1A because it beat out every other rack pre i had in the phono section ..
BK pro 5 line stage modded on oil copper films by Juniper Condenser Co.
BK ST 140 for mids, tweeters
BK EX442 for mid bass drivers
QSC RMX for bass bins set to 44 hrz - 20 hrz one per tower speaker stereo signal fed via dual mono BBE active network controllers..
Dual process metering , one for power output from amplifiers, one line stage signal with peak hold metering..and a real time analizier that process infra and subsonic dutys , pinl and white noise and measures a room for signal in each 1/3 octive for easy room setup..
It was a fun project..
