I am in the process of putting together systems based on decade from the 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s, and 10s. It has been a lot of fun researching and hunting down equipment. I would like some input on the 80s system. A while back, I picked up a set of DCM TF500 speakers, which have really impressed me. This week I got an Integra TX88 receiver. I am also enjoying this but right now I am scavenging a Rega Apollo from my '00 setup as my source. I think I want to make this system all Integra so it looks like something I might have purchased when new. Are the old Integra source components (cassette deck, CD player, turntable) worth it or should I consider something else?
