846a serial# help

Hi all, I've recently bartered some work for a pair of Altec 846a; they are unmolested wonderfull sounding speakers. The serial numbers are 2452 and 2453; there also is another 6 digit number 391645. I have tried to find information about these; (specific year of manufacture etc.)
I would appreciate any info. In the meantime, I will continue my search Thanks

391 - Altec's EIA manufacturer code.

645 - 45th week of 1966. 1956 is ruled out as 846's hadn't been introduced. 1976 is ruled out as 846A production ended around 1972, replaced by 846B.
