9090DB, No Green Protection Light

When I power up my 9090db, the protection red light flashes for a few second and a click indicating that the receiver is ready, BUT THE GREEN LIGHT DOES NOT COME ON. Everything sounds beautifully. Everything works. Its just annoying that the green light will not come on. Is it a fuse? bad connections? bad LED (by the way, does that mean that there are actually two LEDs, one RED and one Green)? Where should I look to troubleshoot this problem? I have the schematic and service manuals but need help narrowing down possible trouble areas and solutions. Thanks for your help.

Bad 1.5Kohm resistor or bad solder connection on the same resistor. Resistor is located on the protection relay board real close to the protect relay. R12 on the relay board F-2657 board. I usually touch up all the solder connections on this board as well.

This resistor go bad all the time
replace this R12 with the same 1.5Kohm value but higher wattage rating, this will help to dissipate more heat and it will last a lot longer

The LED is a single package with three conductors. One is common ground, one is red, and one is green. I have had the green half of that LED to be bad. Easy to test but make sure you are using DC volt/amps appropriate for the device.

Update: Replaced the R12 Resistor. The green LED immediately functions correctly. Thanks Avionic and Yellowbee for your help.

Aldena007, Thanks for the knowledge sharing on the LED package. I replaced the resistor (hard to get to, but manageable) and it worked out as Avionic and Yellowbee suggested.
