a cd player/amplifier combo?

so,im relatively new to here so go easy on me.

so im about to move for uni and im planing to bring my stereo setup.i have a sansui sr222 mk1 which is chucky enough and i already have a pretty chunky amplifier and cd player which i def am not ready to carry on the plane.so im thinking of just getting a cd player/amplifier as i already have a sizeable record and cd collection and i would like to play both when im in uni.i could probably play the cds with my laptop but then again,not exactly hifi.

i have my eyes on the harman kardon mas 102 which has a phono preamp and also provides with a set of relatively small speakers but there is a catch.its discontinued.now,i know if i actually live in europe or na i could most probably obtain it but i live in indonesia and am gonna move to melbourne on june,so i still have time.

now since chinese new year is about to happen,im most likely gonna get around 2million IDR(its roughly 200 freedom dollars).its a guessing game,so the budget might also flucuate.so my best guess that my budget might be around 170-270 dollars.(counting in the money i have saved)

so please do help a poor soul out.oh,and do give further advice if you have different ways i could go doing this.

oh,and if the amplifier has bluetooth capabilities it would be a plus.ofc,its not mandatory as bluetooth recievers are available and cheap.
 
Why is "playing a CD with your laptop" not a valid choice? You can get a cable to run the headphone output to the amplifier, or even use a USB sound card and run it to your amplifier if you want to bypass the laptop's built in sound.

Another choice-- a portable CD player ran to your amplifier.

Some people have also had good results using car stereo components off of a quality external power supply-- a head unit with CD and amplifier will be tinier than even the smallest of recievers, and may put out decent output with good speakers.
 
How can an amplifier / CD player be considered "chunky" and yet a sizeable collection of LP's and CD's not be an issue?

so i should clarify,my laptop doesnt have a cd player.it has to use a usb cd reader and my laptop aint exactly all that good as the usb ports arent even 3.0.but some on reddit did reply with something similar to what you have suggested by buying a portable cd walkman and getting a active bookshelf speakers and just connecting my tuntable and a walkman to it.its viable but i want something abit more complete looking in comaprison with the very cheap setup i have right now.im using a old dvd player as a cd player.but im still considering it.im eyeing a klipsch R 15pm

i negelected to say this on the question as it wasnt exactly important but out of my "sizeable" collection im only bringing roughly 35ish of them.only bringing the important and collectable ones i always listen to.but i do still want to used the theoretical setup here in jakarta.and maybe like 10 of said important cds.

my sizable collection is only like 105 records and 19 cds but still alot for me atleast as i have never exactly been friends with much record collectors.
the reason why i said sizable is because australia gets the good records in comparison with indonesia,so i can already see my self growing the record collection quite abit once im there.(and by good ones i mean indie acts)
