So my son destroyed my aTV remote. The tiny thing was always getting swallowed by the couch anyways. I also hated having to have yet another remote to locate all of the time. I have the remote app in my iPhone, but that meant I still had to find my phone to use the remote...not always handy.
I found an alternative that I like, and thought I'd share. This remote is the Acoustic Research ARi3G. It controls up to 3 sources. It has a spot for TV, Audio, and Media(which is dedicated aTV out of the box). It was easy to find my TV and program it in, and it also has a "learning feature" where you can teach its buttons what to do using your original remote held face to face. Since my audio is all vintage I ended up using the "learn" method to program the Audio source for my bluray instead. It works great, and I've managed to combine 3 remotes into 1 which makes me
It also costs the same as an aTV replacement remote....no decision there!
