Bought these @ gwill last year...they seem to work well. Only difficulty is the stained fabric
on one. I removed most of it by simply rubbing with a soft cloth. Then removed most of the
stains with simple green. Some remains but the metal doesn't want any further intrusion.
I think with new material applied it will look fine.
What this light weight see-through soft stuff is eYe have no clue.
Do tell should you know please...

It's some kind of non-woven textile, maybe polypropylene? Looks kinda like what's called "interfacing" in the sewing world. They do make it in black. Might be able to get it at Michael's or Hobby Lobby ... maybe another close relative would be the stuff used in gardens to keep weeds down.

I looks similar to some black non woven cloth I have seen, stretched and stapled across the bottom of sofas. Take a sample to various fabric stores.
I have a few ADS speakers of similar design. So I've seen the cloth in person.
I would think, the more open the weave, the more transparent the sound. Just to keep dust off the sticky domes.

Did those come facrory with cloth on the backs of the perforated steel grills?
The pair of L570/2's I have don't have cloth on the back side, or any indication there ever was any.
