I was having issues with my SX-939 (is a strong candidate for a recap), and feeling down. AK member bryana found me some help. bryan found a minty SX-780 (OK, it has one ding on the faceplate and some peeling veneer, but it's beautiful otherwise) at a fleamarket, thought of me, and purchased it. For a paltry sum, the beauty was mine. This has to be the cleanest receiver I've ever come across and must have been an indoor unit. The top had a lot of dust, which was easily vacuumed out revealing shiny, non-bulging, non-smelling caps and a really simplistic layout (and those little resistors, are they glass?, are very cool looking). The phono section is tops, I've never heard a better headamp section, and it just looks killer. My Advents pair very nicely with this unit and I'm one VERY happy camper.
