Hi All,
Almost done with some minor work on a Pioneer SX-838, got her mostly cleaned up and working exempt for a lamp.
I have searched however the links I did find were old and led me to noplace.
If someone could point me in the general direction of where I can purchase a program Lamp for my Pioneer, I would appreciate it.
(#47 Pilot lamp 8V, 50mA Part Number: AEL-023-0)
Tiny lamp with about 4" leads

Additionally does anyone have any helpful tips to installing the replacement lamp, specifically with attaching the leads to the pins (winding them on the pins?)

Thanks in Advance

Dave, / AK'er dgwojo is our lamp guy - yes he should be able to set you up.

A bit harder than finding parts for a FM 38D 8-1/8 10 cyl isn't it, Senior Chief?!?!

no cosal support, obtain from salvage . have you considered led"s? as to installation i cut and solder splice. dwojo provides heatshrink with his bulbs. i just led'd a 939 im sure the 838 is similar. its the easiest way out as the leads on replacements all seem to be stranded wire so they cant be wrapped anyway. i personally think that if led's were common in '74 pioneer would have used them. im not a total purist and also dont like dim displays. but thats just my view.im sure that there are those who prefer originality.
