This is the way to start a Friday . . . on the way home from work!!!
I started shuffling through the records at a GoodWill and stumbled into ECM heaven!!! I found 41 Lp's, 36 of them ECM records. These records are in dead mint condition with about a quarter of them "Promo Copies". I already have a few of these, in particular some Metheny LP's. I already started playing them without the RCM cleaning and they are in perfect condition!! They cost $1.59 each.

Wow!!! Those Gary Burton albums (especially Times Square and Easy as Pie) are some of my favorites on that label. Easy as Pie has never even been available on CD.

The ECM catalog is a great one...IIRC there's a retrospective book out there of the record covers over the years. The Miroslav Vitous recordings are EXCELLENT too if you ever find them! Excellent find!

Gary Burton's Whiz Kids is a great one too!

<<Pat Metheny & Lyle Mays ~ As Wichita Falls>> This is a beautiful LP, especially September Fifteenth.

Have you listened to Passengers yet?

Not yet but am looking forward to that one. Great line-up.

Nice find. I'd be interested in hearing what you think of Jan Garbarek.

It should be interesting. All three or four LP's have different line-ups on them. like Jan Garbarek & Art Lande, Jan Garbarek & Charlie Haden & Jan Garbarek with Bill Frisell, Eberhard Weber & Jon Christiansen. I have a lot of listening to do. :thmbsp:

Like I said there are a lot of Promo LP's in this lot. A lot of the LP inner sleeves they are marked in ink about their faults. Like label not centered with the record number and date. Another says label torn (very tiny tear) dated etc. and one says track 4-6 scratched etc. It's almost like the guy was a radio DJ back in the day. :scratch2:

I'd love to have Miroslav Vitous on vinyl. :thmbsp:
