A new motorcycle

That's a fine looking bike. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. With two full knee replacements I'm fairly terrified of the consequences of planting one in the asphalt. Then there's the recent L4/5 fusion. I don't know if I'll ever get another bike, but if I do it'll be my first love.

When I was in 7th grade I'd ride my minibike up the RR tracks to the Norton/AJS shop in Paramount, CA. They uncrated and did final ass'y there. They let us hang around and drool as long as we stayed out of the way.

Well I'm going from 2.5 on the Virago to 4.5 here, so I'm looking forward to a full week of commutes w/o a fuel stop!

Alternatively you could turn her room into a listening room and park the bike in the cave. Of course that sends her the "and don't come back!" message. ;)
 
Picked it up tonight and had a nice ride home. :D

I need a windshield bag, highway bars and pegs, and and .....
 
While I think a bike like that looks much better without a windshield there's no mistaking the benefits. For one you can smile without the fear of those damned bugs in yer' teeth.

I was always busting my uncle's hump about his Goldwing and it's full fairing while riding my first love, a GS850 Suzuki as it came out of the box. One afternoon-evening ride that went down to 35°F and I suddenly understood in a quick fashion.

I pulled the windshield off of my old bike, got three blocks away and turned around. It's just a lot more comfortable not having to brace yourself against the force of the wind against you.

Never hurts to look on flea-bay for aftermarket motorcycle gear.

I found a set of NIB engine case guards for my old '81 Yamaha Seca......$10!!
Good quality, and being black, they matched my paint scheme perfectly.

Nice bike.

I'm going to try an Ultimate seat on my Vulcan 2000. I hear they're really nice and you get a 15 day return if you don't like it. Not cheap though. For the driver and passenger seats, with removable backrests, backrest pouches, and rain covers, runs about $1,000. Made using that memory foam stuff like the Tempur-Pedic mattress.

I also put V&H Power Shots on it and they're not too loud until you get on it then they make some noise. I kept the stock pipes too just in case I ever sell the bike and the prospect doesn't like the V&H.

That shot did turn out pretty good, did you review the exif info? It may surprise you!

.....well, I don't know how to do that, but I'm going to say you were at least at f/8, with the shutter speed influenced by ever how far into the ISO you were....the image quality of the motorcycle has a gleam to it....did you use your noise reduction program on that shot post-processing?.....
 
Hey, its an iPhone picture. I think it is at f/2.8, iso 80, and 1/40 if I recall correctly. and yes I used Noiseware on it. ;)
 
FWIW I imported the picture and the extended photo info didn't come through. Just the dimensions and file type and size.
