My account has been here for a while, but I'm not sure if I have ever introduced myself. Checking old posts seems to suggest not, but I will say My search was not thorough. What the heck... might as well do it now...
I have been hunting gear down in the usual garage sales and thrift stores for quite some time now. I have stumbled on to a steal or two... and was recently rewarded for a helping hand with the most expensive piece to come into my hands- a Yamaha Cr2020 that I have paired with my second pricey-est investment, a set of yammy NS-690's. I had always believed them to be ii's, but looking now I don't see it written anywhere. They are not tri-ampable, regardless.
I am listening to this combo, basically for the first time, as I type this. 'The Delicate Sound of Thunder' is my audio mind paint for this momentary lapse...
This forum is astonishing in the amount of infomation and personalities it contains. I imagine I will not be through lurking in the archives and vaults for some time... however, since I have finally gotten a decent primary system together since my first post (2010), I have decided to try to become a more active member. Mostly likely with "likes" and thumbs up emoji, but none the less more active.
Thanks audiokarmites. Its nice to be one of you. Keep rockin, rollin, spinnin, and grinnin!
