I wish I had pulled the trigger on one of these years ago. I got it off the "bay" for a decent price. It's got plenty of power, 150 watts per channel. Solidly built, it's considered by many to be the last great receiver. This is the kind of receiver that dispels the myth that to get hifi sound you must use separates. I've only been using it for about three hours and I'm in love with it. I am just now listening to vinyl with it. I've only been listening to MP3s off my computer so far and I'm impressed. I just dropped the needle on an MFSL of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, side two. That way I get the thrill of the stereo sound of "Money". One of the BEST features of the GX10ES is the cartridge button on the FRONT of the receiver that allows you to switch between moving magnet and moving coil. It does run on the warm side. I'm in the middle of "Brain Damage" now and it's just perfect. I switch the input to CD, because I don't have a cd player hooked up. I hear nothing. The noise floor is so low. The volume difference between AUX and PHONO is very evident when going back and forth to compare an MP3 to the vinyl. Not surprising. What is surprising is that it took me this long to go ahead and buy this beautiful beast.
There's a few dings, but other than that, it's in fine shape.
