Hello, everyone:

I've been re-reading the manual to my C46 and saw that there are certain buttons on the remote that will operate other McIntosh products. I've tried this on my MVP871, but it likes it own remote better. Does anyone know if it's even possible to use the pertinent buttons on the C46 remote to operate the MVP871? Moreover, what does the Code Set button on the top left of the remote do? Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving to all those to whom it applies.

Hi Doc, we were just talking about this on another thread. The answer is yes, but make sure that you have a data cable (stereo 1/8" mini, male to male) connected from the MVP871 "data in" to the correct data port on your C46.
