A Tough Speaker to ID

Any guesses what this speaker might be? I'm thinking it could be a possible IMF, Fried, or TDL, but it doesn't exactly match anything. Approximate dimensions are 27" H x 15"W x 14"D. Pretty tough, not much to go off on. But you guys have amazed me in the past.

I think they might be homemade. The glue stains on the back certainly wouldn't pass inspection at most companies, and the terminal plate looks like one of those cheap pressed board with rivets types found on low end speakers.
They do look interesting, and to my mind, homemade would be more interesting than manufactured, since you can find first rate components in DIY speakers with cheesy cabinets, but usually not when its a commercial product.
I am pretty certain they aren't any IMF, TDL or Fried product -- their production values were much higher than that.
