A tribute to Zilch

A nice gesture, to be sure. I just had a moment of poignancy. Looked at the list of members online. Zilch, who was always last on the list, wasn't there.
 
Nice idea Ray! Thank you, also, for starting a thread on the theme of a creating a tribute to a recently departed thought leader to our community.

I work down the street from ZilchLabs and I drove by tonight in the rain, wind and darkness to see a dark lab and a rain soaked, rusted Porsche in the drive. Sad. (I did not know him personally, I just happen to know who he was)

He is no longer here to provoke our thoughts and drive personal inquiry (while exhibiting respect for the individual). So we need to take responsibility to do this on our own. To adopt, well, the Zilch-Way. Yes we need to recognize his contribution, and thank you Ray for starting the process. But in a larger context we need to contribute to the community (this and others) in the same manner he would - because he is no longer here to do so.
