"A/V equipment" - Carver C-2, M-400a, TX-11 for $75

I have a Carver Model C-2 Stereo Preamp, a Carver M-400a Amplifier, and a Carver TX-11 FM stereo Tuner available that I would like to sell ASAP. Each component is individually priced at $30 but I will sell all three for $75 total. This equipment has been very well cared for for many years and despite their age are capable of surprising performance. Looking to sell ASAP. Nosey cat not included

I'm not fond of the cube amp, but that C-2 is a fine preamp, worth a good bit more than asking. Carver tuners are great, too.

Update

Barring any unforeseen bad luck (knock on wood!), I will be picking these up tomorrow night. The seller is a very nice women who was busy through the weekend but seemed very happy to sell to me. I suspect I may have a dry spell coming up soon, after my Heresy score and now this. Will post pictures as soon as I have the gear. :thmbsp:

That will be a nice score! The tuner and preamp are good, the 400a cube amp is on the harsh-sounding side, I'd flip that and then find an M500 or M500t and you'll be really happy.

Just got the gear tonight, and not only does it look beautiful, it came with like all the original manuals and promotional material!

The very nice women who I bought it said there was another person who was interested who was pretty worked up that she sold it to me instead of him; apparently he described himself as a "serious collector" and asked if I was one too. I said that I wouldn't really consider myself a serious collector so much as a serious enthusiast who really enjoys the gear. It turned out that I had responded first and wanted to sell it to me if I was interested. She didn't seem too thrilled with his reaction, though.

Scan oriented people, I am happy to get hi-res scans of all this stuff for archiving. I have a Carver promo booklet with info about Magnetic Field Power amps, a personal message from Bob Carver, the Carver M-500t amp, M-1.5t amp, M-400t amp, M-200t amp, Z-1 wide band coupler (cool sounding little thing), C4000 control console, C-1 sonic holography pre-amp, C-2 stereo preamp, C-9 sonic hologram generator, The Carver Receiver, TX-11 FM tuner, and TX1-11 asymmetrical charged-coupled FM decoder. Also, owner's manual for the C-2, separate info sheet on the M400-a and TX-11, a booklet labeled "Model TX-11 Quartz Synthesized FM Stereo Tuner With Asymmetrical Charge-Coupled FM Detector, TX-11 promo booklet, and M400 owner's manual (phew!).

I probably won't have a chance to get these all hooked up to speakers to demo them immediately (tonight, at least), but I will report back when I do.

Awesome! Congrats on hooking up with an honest seller.

The pics are great. If you get a chance can you post some shots of the rear panels. There are plenty of pics of the fronts of these Carver models, but not much of the rears.
