Hi all Ak members , I have several turntables but the last week I saw in CL this turntable and I won't miss this opportunity. I called a young lady and she told me the turntable was her father that passed away and she want to sell it. Also , she told me the turntable was in good condition, after few days, I went to pick up and paid it.
Why is special this turntable? Because it comes with the original dust cover, original strobocospe and the pretty rare wooden skirt!!! Also it comes with a Shure cartdrigde V15 model III with original Shure stylus VN35MR in very good shape and plus free a Shure cartridge M97xE new in box and 2 Lp's Shure test records.:banana::banana::banana::banana:

Nice table I have one myself. When I purchased mine back in the summer of 75 or 76 I wanted a V15 III but the discount place i bought it from didn't have the V15 so I got a Stanton 681EEE and I have never looked back. Nice score..........
 
Some Ak member can tell me what's heck it is? Come with the turntable and it has a cable plug in the ground input. I was investigating in the internet but nothing. I really appreciate your help. Thank you, Juan.

Wow, you found a nice one! I have the same turntable, with cover, strobe and skirt. But mine is considerably more banged up, particularly with some odd scratches on the top surface concentric to the platter. Sad visually, but it works perfectly. It was my first CL/ vintage purchase, and probably my best as well. There is a thread here dedicated to owners of this model, you should show yours off on it!

It's the base for a Decca record cleaning brush. It was a flat wand that was curved at at one end had a small brush and you would let it ride on the record as it played. It was suppose to remove static as it cleaned the dust on the record........... I hope that made sense as I'm typing my comment from memory.

Mr.Stanton681EEE, do you any photo or anywhere can I see this flat wand? Also this Decca works with electricy , I am asking because it has a wire.

Nice I had a good friend who owned one when they were new, spent quite a bit of time listening to records on his, a wonderful turntable.

Nice! That skirt really dresses it up! I'm not sure if it's Technics original though. Is the steel under pan still attached?

The handle on the dust cover, while a good idea, is not original either and neither were the hinges.

So this deck has had some unique customizations done to it, which makes it special indeed.:)
 
Awesome. My CL almost never has anything that nice unless I put it on. :) I did find a 1100 cousin, a SL-1200 MK1 minus feet and just a little rough. Same tonearm though. way to go.
 
Hi ripblade, the wooden skirt is original technics part ( see the photo) and yes, the steel under pan is still attached.
I like very much this skirt, it gives a much classic appearance. Also, I like the handle on the dust cover , I think the original owner put it and the hinges too because I believe this dust cover for this turntable never came with hinges.
