Curious that Earth is dimmer in Mars's sky than Mars is in Earth's sky. Curious until you realize that you are actually looking at a crescent Earth. Without knowing if this is sunrise or sunset (and can't therefore determine if the phase is waxing or waning), I'd estimate that only 40% of Earth's face is seen from this vantage point.

Such a tiny dot and yet so much life. Yes, there is strife, but compare the life on earth to the environment on Mars. What a desolate place.
 
Maybe I'm a bit cynical today but maybe humans did inhabit Mars long ago and that's what they left. :D: :scratch2:
