In my hunt for a left channel, volume control knob for my newly acquired SX-424 (shameless cheap plug) I ran across an article from the July 1973 Popular Mechanics titled: "Those under $200 receivers: Yes, they're really hi-fi". The little SX-424 is in the article, as well as the TX-6200 tuner and a number of other brands (Fisher Heathkit, Kenwood). A fun read about these receivers when they hit the market.
