I turned on "watch forum" for one of the forums and didn't realize that not changing the default radio buttons would mean I would get a bezillion alerts about new threads being started. At first I looked for an option in "Alert Preferences" and didn't find a way to shut it off. Then I discovered if a "unwatch" the forum, I could re watch it and turn the alerts for the watched forum off. My goal is to just see alerts pertaining to my personal activity, i.e.: responses to my posts, likes of my posts, IM messages, etc. But now I have days and days of "new thread" alerts in my alerts list that I can't get rid of. Is there any way of purging all past alerts from the list?
