I am going to snap up a MC402 from a retired man, he has a C50 preamp for $3500 in excellent condition.

Wonder how good this preamp is, and the price is a good bargain or not. As I have Audio Research L15 tube preamp already. Not sure if the C50 compare to it.

Unless you're one who can't do without tubes somewhere in your system, the C50 would be an excellent choice. It would be a bargain at $3500.
 
AudioClassics is selling a C50 for $3599 so I don’t know how this would be a bargain at $3500. An extra $100 gets you a limited warranty.
