AC Power Conditioning Thoughts?

Hey guys, I was wondering what your thoughts on ac power conditioning were?

I've got to put an order into Mouser soon for some parts and recalled an article I came across a while about about installing AC suppression capacitors across outlet in a power strip..

http://www.10audio.com/diy_power_conditioner.htm

I've got some DIY power stuff that my gear is all plugged into now, I figured it wouldn't be a bad idea to add some noise suppression capacitors.

The author didn't mention the part number on the capacitors or their value, the pic look like 250V but not sure about capacitance.

What are you thoughts on this stuff?

You must use safety capacitors.

X rated if they go across the power line and Y rated if they go from the power line to ground.

This is a must for safety.

I'm very cautious when working with line voltage.

Would the be any motivation to move to a larger capacitance?
