Academy, KLF C7 or KT LCR center

Hello! First post here (I've been lurking in the shadows). I am looking for a better center channel match for my Quartets then the RC62ii I am currently running. I've done my research and came up with the Academy or the KLF C7 as the best choices.

When I can find them they are $4-5 hundred for the KLF, and around $300 for the Academy. I like the KLF for multiple reasons (8" woofers, big horn) however, I think the Academy has the same tweeter as the Quartets...

Now, there is a KT LCR locally on craigslist for $150 which looks interesting to me, but I don't know anything about the model except it has 2 - 6.5" woofers and what looks like a pretty big horn (K-90-kv). Any opinions/information on these KT's would be greatly appreciated. Would this be a good center for Quartets or would one of the others be worth waiting for?

Welcome, & If I were you, I'd buy it. Many say the KT as a center is almost as good as the other two (do a search on here), AND it's not as big & bulky!
Offer 125.00 & flip it later if you find an academy at a decent price.
 
I've owned both the Academy and the KLF-C7 and preferred the KLF-C7 (minor differences with the nod to the KLF-C7)...your Quartet has a similar tweeter to the Academy but I believe the horn in the Academy is Exponential while it is TracTrix in the Quartet as well as the KLF-C7...clear as mud, right???

I've not been able to compare the KT-LCR to the other two Centers...

Thanks for the replies Guys! I may make an offer on the KT. Is anyone familiar with the K-90 tweeter? I wonder if I can upgrade the diaphragm to one of Bobs Titanium ones? I also wonder how Bobs center would match up with Quartets...Food for thought...Thanks again Fellas!
