Accuphase P-300V …. Should it be restored?

I'd love to find a P-300V to go with my C-200V but the only ones are from Japan. I'm assuming that like the preamp you can switch the line voltage from 100VAC to other global voltages? I'm just a bit gun shy to order anything else from Japan, especially with the additional tariffs charged. Also, I don't care if there is measurable difference after a rebuild - if I feel better about a piece of equipment and feel it sounds better after restore, it's all worth it. Not like a DIY rebuild costs a lot.

Generally, JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) Accuphase is not multivoltage, nor does it have unused taps on the primary. That said, I have seen some supposedly from domestic sales that do have 100/110-120, 220-240V. It's not a universal rule.

Much of the Japanese vintage and current home market gear is fixed 100V (one primary winding only) and it was a requirement to ensure export subsidized stuff didn't re-enter their own market via "grey" channels.

My Accuphase pieces came via European sources and DO have multitapped primaries. I would be very careful in 2026 pulling Accuphase out of the Japanese home market. Original parts will be unavailable from Accuphase unless you go through your local country distributor directly and they have been known to completely refuse to supply parts for home market items sold into a secondary overseas market and blacklist the serial number.
