"Mint" is a poor choice of words as the front of the cassette deck cabinet is worn and the turntable has no feet. It might also had made sense if dude could have been bothered to clean that stuff before determining condition, taking pictures and offering it for sale...

And the second thing they sould have done was NOT call it mint,makes me think they also wouldn't have a clue judging how well it works.
OR what a reasonable offer would be,since they are obviously over rating it from the start.

Awesome tuner. I've always wanted one.
Actually, if everything is working and the cosmetics will clean up decently his asking price isn't too far off. Most of the value is with the amp and tuner - those are worth several $100 each. The cassette was TOTL when new, but only Nakamichi, Revox or Tandberg cassette decks go for very much these days. The TT looks like a decent model but also looks pretty rough. Graphic EQs are worth very little.
If everything checks out OK, I'd consider $750 or so a score. That would be a good deal for the Accuphase gear by itself. The ad did say he'd "definitely negotiate". But I'd definitely want to check the gear out before putting my money down.

If all it needs is a little TLC, I'd consider $650 for the Amp, Tuner and Turntable. I don't use Tape or EQ's. Consider what that will buy today...a Decent integrated amp, thats about it. Despite it's age that Accuphase Amp may sound as good or better than a new one the $650 might buy, The Tuner looks good too. Maybe offer the $750 you guy's suggest and I could sell the EQ, and sell or toss the tape deck.
YUUP! I had mine posted on AK , the external glass lens ( which protects the dial glass) needed to be replaced but I thought I priced it accordingly on Barter Town. - several bumps.... NO SALE..
so finally, last weekend I and went ahead and replaced the glass. Although admittedly I'm not a radio guy, I've been playing it ever since. - Guess I won't be selling it after all. - No sale = "Good Karma"? Apparently so.
The market price on Accuphase swings wildly, One month a T101 sells for $450, the next, it wont sell for $325. strange phenomena. On Ebay, Audio Technica AT605 stabilizer feet prices have doubled and here on AK (barter town) Zerostat guns are all the rage.

Bostown, those pics of your tuner are pure audio porn for me. How did you replace the glass? That thing is beautiful.
Even a $1k that's a pretty good deal, a lot cheaper than buying those pieces individually.

If they are just smudges and will clean up, I would think the two pieces would be worth that no problem possibly more, if put on the right sites, with the right photo's and good descriptions.
An E-202 and T101 are a solid system. $750-$850. If there was $800 on the table, A buyer would have my attention.
They do attract a fair amount of finger prints , mine probably need a wipe down too.
I concur :yes: the flash is making it look worse than it is I bet. The whole "Mint Condition" pitch is bogus as noted by Ghonk.
